JAAGO Women Scholarship Application

1.1 The scholarship recipient must provide accurate and up-to-date personal information, including name, institution, email ID, and Bkash number.
1.2 The applicant must provide a full-size photograph taken in daylight and a passport-sized photograph.
1.3 Any changes to the provided information must be reported to the scholarship committee immediately.
1.4 Spot verification at the applicant's residence may be conducted if deemed necessary.
1.5 As part of the selection process, a video interview with the applicants parents shall be conducted. If the parents are unavailable, any responsible guardian may attend in their place.
1.6 The scholarship is open to all eligible female students in Bangladesh, without discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, or disability. However, priority consideration will be given to applicants who are comparatively in more financial crisis and have achieved academic excellence based on merit or academic performance.

2.1 The scholarship is awarded for a maximum duration of forty-eight (48) months, beginning from the commencement of the recipient's undergraduate program.
2.2 The recipient will receive a monthly stipend for the entire duration of her undergraduate studies, subject to her adherence to the terms outlined in this document.
2.3 If a recipient transfers to another university or changes her department, the duration of the scholarship previously utilized will be deducted from the total period of forty-eight (48) months.
2.4 The recipient will continue to receive the monthly stipend for the remainder of the scholarship period, provided that the total duration does not exceed forty-eight (48) months.
2.5 Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and exhibit good conduct, adhering to the institution’s code of conduct and disciplinary regulations.
2.6 A minimum GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 must be maintained for scholarship renewal each semester or academic year as appropriate.
2.7 The applicant is required to attend a total of 16 mandatory skill development courses. If the applicant fails to obtain certification in any of these courses, they must retake the course until certification is successfully achieved.

3.1 The scholarship funds must be used exclusively for educational purposes such as covering tuition fees, books, lodging, food, transportation, and other educational expenses.
3.2 The funds are strictly prohibited from being used for non-educational purposes.

4.1 Scholarship recipients are required to provide regular updates on their academic progress and health status.
4.2 Recipients must report any changes in their enrollment status immediately.
4.3 Recipients may be required to submit reports or participate in surveys to assess the impact of the scholarship on their educational experience.
4.4 A Stipend Acknowledgement Form will be issued to each recipient on a monthly basis to monitor the timely receipt of the monthly scholarship stipend.
4.5 Recipients are required to complete and submit the Stipend Acknowledgement Form as confirmation of receipt within the specified deadline each month.
4.6 An Academic Progress Report will be issued every three (3) months to assess the recipient's academic performance (as mentioned in 2.6).
4.7 Failure to provide progress reports as requested may result in the termination of the scholarship.
4.8 Recipients are required to complete and submit the Academic Progress Report as confirmation of receipt within the specified deadline each month.

5.1 Scholars are encouraged or required to participate in events, activities, or communications related to the scholarship program.
5.2 All communications with the scholarship committee should be done using the provided email address.
5.3 Recipients must acknowledge and respond to emails from the scholarship committee using the same email thread.
5.4 The scholarship program may document and share recipients’ stories on different platforms and media as part of the program. The documented or updated photo of the scholarship recipient will be used along with the story.

6.1 Recipients must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in the scholarship program guidelines and any additional terms provided by the scholarship provider or sponsor.
6.2 Donor visits at JAAGO Foundation HQ or the applicant's university campus and mandatory attendance at related events are expected.
6.3 In the event of non-compliance, the applicant must provide appropriate evidence such as an examination schedule, medical documentation, or evidence of emergency circumstances.
6.4 The scholarship committee reserves the right to modify any terms and conditions with advance notice, and recipients are expected to comply with these changes.

7.1 The scholarship may be terminated if the recipient fails to meet program requirements, such as maintaining a CGPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 for two consecutive semesters.
7.2 The scholarship may be revoked if the recipient is found to have provided false information during the application process.
7.3 The scholarship may be terminated if the recipient withdraws from the course, fails to comply with scholarship requirements, or does not resume study after a period of approved leave or suspension​.
7.4 Scholars will have the opportunity to submit any appeals or address grievances, including scholarship terminations or disputes, through a formal written request via email to the official email address of the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program: [email protected].

8.1 Recipients consent to participate in awareness activities related to the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program in partnership with the JAAGO Foundation.
8.2 Activities may include filming at the recipient's house, appearing in videos taken in surrounding areas, participating in interviews about their educational journey, and having interviews conducted with parents or legal guardians.
8.3 Recipients acknowledge that these activities aim to highlight the positive impact of the scholarship program and encourage support for similar initiatives.

9.1 If you are granted leave of absence or suspended from your course, the benefits of your scholarship will be suspended, and the end date of your scholarship will be extended by the duration of the leave.
9.2 A period of suspension may not extend your Scholarship Term.

10.1 Fee Offset Scholarships may not be transferred to another semester or course unless otherwise approved.
10.2 If you wish to transfer your Scholarship to another institution, you must provide evidence of your Scholarship award and other necessary details to both institutions for approval.

11.1 You are not required to undertake employment during the Scholarship Term. Full-time recipients are expected to dedicate four days a week to study and may undertake no more than 8 hours per week of paid employment.
11.2 There is no limit on the income you can receive from employment unrelated to your research topic. You should seek independent taxation advice relating to any employment.

12.1 Scholars will be provided with access to a comprehensive Career Skill Development Training Program, consisting of 16 sessions over the time period of their scholarship program, free of cost.
12.2 Scholars will be offered opportunities to attend seminars designed to further their academic and professional growth.
12.3 Scholars who demonstrate exceptional performance, as well as consistent participation in forms or meetings, will be eligible to receive a monthly reward for their achievements.
12.4 Scholars will be provided with information regarding current job or internship opportunities available within the JAAGO Foundation and its partner organizations.

13.1 Your personal information collected by the organization will be managed in accordance with the organization’s obligations and will not be disclosed without your explicit consent unless required or permitted by law​​.

14.1 The allocation, selection, and awarding of scholarships are conducted through multiple phases of a rigorous process, involving various tiers and filtration, overseen by the JAAGO Women Scholarship Selection Committee.

15.1 If the scholarship committee overpays your scholarship in error, you must reimburse the overpayment in accordance with the committee's instructions.
15.2 Overpayments may be recovered by withholding future payments​.

16.1 Recipients must diligently apply themselves to the successful completion of their course.
16.2 Recipients must abide by all relevant policies and procedures of their institution.
16.3 Recipients must provide all required reports, including an annual progress report if applicable.
16.4 Recipients must inform the scholarship committee within 10 working days if they leave the country, discontinue full-time study, or are absent without approval.
16.5 Recipients must notify the committee of any additional income received that relates to their course or supports their living costs.

17.1 Scholars are highly encouraged to support and participate in community services through volunteerism; they can be a part of platforms like Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD), where they can actively engage in social change initiatives.
17.2 Scholars are expected to act as ambassadors of this scholarship program even after their graduation and share success stories.
17.3 Scholars who successfully complete the JAAGO Women Scholarship Program and graduate from their respective universities will be enrolled in an alumni network. This network will enable them to share work opportunities, build a strong professional community, provide opportunities for former scholars, and offer feedback on the scholarship program.

18.1 The scholarship committee reserves the right to amend its scholarship provision without notice. The varied conditions will apply to all recipients.
